Mr. Josh Scheckel is the founding and current CEO of J.J. Scheckel Corporation. J.J. Scheckel Corporation sells, rents and services construction equipment to companies nationwide. SSR is a separate division created to deliver the world's most reliable remanufactured Caterpillar D9 to D10 size machines in the world.

Engine
Every SSR machine has a 100% reman engine, every single component, nut & bolt, within the engine is re-machined to new specs or replaced with new parts. Major parts reused are non wearable parts such as the engine block, all reused castings are fully checked and guaranteed as good as new. All wearable items are replaced with new genuine Caterpillar parts. Every SSR engine has dyno reports and after installation performance reports, this attention to detail insures that every SSR machine has the reliability and longevity as new. New exhaust muffler, clamps and pipe are also replaced with new.

Cooling System
Every SSR machine built is equipped with new, Genuine Caterpillar radiator sections, lines and hoses, no questions asked. This is a standard process that protects your engine. All current cooling system updates are performed.

Torque Converter
All internal torque converter parts are replaced, while the main casting is quality checked to be good as new, you’ll have full peace of mind that your torque converter is producing driveline efficiency.

Transmission
The transmission is completely dismantled, and the main housing and casting are quality checked and reused. All internal bearings, bushings, gears, disks, and seals are replaced with new. All tolerances and settings are maintained as new. All completed transmissions are bench tested, and performance tested after installation. Your SSR transmission will hold the same reliability, performance and longevity as new.

Steering and Braking System
Whether differential steer or clutch/brake system, the components are completely dismantled, and all wearable parts such as gears, bearings, bushings, disks, and seals are replaced with new. The main castings are quality checked to be good as new. After installation tests insure the reliability of the steering/braking system.

Final Drives
Every SSR machine has remanufactured final drives, the main housing and castings are quality checked and reused, all gears failing to meet Cat reusability guidelines are replaced. All bearings, bushings, and seals are replaced with new. Your final drive components will perform as new.

Undercarriage
Every SSR machine built will use 100% new Cat Genuine Undercarriage, all bottom rollers, idlers, sprocket segments, rails & pads will be replaced with new. Your complete undercarriage will carry a full warranty serviceable at any franchised Caterpillar dealer in the country. Also, we fully rebuild the track frames to new specs; all internal adjuster seals are replaced. All bogie wheel shaft bore diameters are measured and line bored as needed. The equalizer bar and pivot shaft are rebuilt to new specs.

Main Structure
Every SSR machine must meet our reusability guidelines on the main structure. The main frame must be structurally sound, every frame is sandblasted and die checked for cracks, critical measurements are also taken to insure no twisting or bending has developed. We guarantee every frame to be as good as new. We primer and paint every square inch of the main frame, to ward off future rust and corrosion. Our remanufactured frames are the solid base of the SSR machine.

Hydraulics
Every hydraulic hose on the SSR machine is replaced with new, no matter the current condition. Every seal is also replaced with new, and every hydraulic pump and valve body on the entire machine is completely cleaned, dismantled, resealed, and rebearinged with new parts. After installation testing is performed to insure correct pressure settings and performance.

Electrical
Every SSR machine comes with a new wiring harness; we also remanufacture the starter and alternator. All lights, gauges, and switches are replaced with new.

Operator Station
With every SSR machine we build, the cab is removed, dismantled, sandblasted, quality checked, and rebuilt with new parts. All gauges, fuses, warning lights, windshield wipers, windows, floor mat, overhead liner, knobs, etc. are replaced with new. Door latches and hinges are also replaced, along with the main cab rubber mounts.

Nuts, Bolts, Linkages
With every SSR machine, we put on new linkage ends, while also replacing all critical bolts and nuts with new hardware. All fasteners are checked with certified torque wrenches, then double checked before the machine leaves our facility.

CAT Dealer Testing
We hold performance and spec testing on every machine we build. Thorough after installation and running tests are performed on every single component. When you purchase and take delivery of your machine, have peace of mind that it is ready for work.

Warranty Information

Wherever our SSR machines go in the free world, be assured they will be fully covered under our industry leading warranty program. SSR uses only Genuine Caterpillar parts & Components throughout our reman program, Authorized Caterpillar Dealer Technicians carry out all the final testing & setting procedures. That why the SSR Warranty program is serviceable at any Caterpillar Dealer in the nation.
